How we score your website
What we measure, where the data comes from, and how it adds up to one grade.
Data sources
- Your page, fetched live like a search crawler: HTML, headers, links, images, schema and text.
- Your server: robots.txt, XML sitemap, llms.txt, security.txt, redirects, 404 handling, SSL certificate and DNS.
- Google PageSpeed Insights (Lighthouse) for mobile and desktop lab data, plus Chrome real-user data where available.
- Internet Archive for domain history and Tranco for global popularity rank.
- AI models (Groq and Z.ai) to estimate target keywords, rankings, content quality, E-E-A-T and to write the action plan.
Scoring
Each check passes, needs work or fails, and carries a high, medium or low impact weight. An area’s score is the weighted share of points earned. For speed, Google’s Lighthouse score counts for 60% of the area score.
The overall score weights areas as follows: On-page SEO 15%, Technical 14%, Speed 14%, GEO 12%, Content 10%, AEO 10%, AI-SEO 9%, Security 8%, Authority 8%.
Grades
- A+ 95–100
- A 85–94
- B 75–84
- C 60–74
- D 45–59
- F below 45
Measured vs estimated
Everything we can measure directly, we measure. Search volumes, live ranking positions and full backlink lists need paid data sources, so the report shows AI estimates for these and labels them clearly. For verified figures, connect your site to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
Limits
The audit analyses one URL in depth. Pages behind logins, bot challenges or heavy client-side rendering may return less data.
